Go Wild Taman Negara(National Park)

29 August 2010 Sunday, our next destination is Taman Negara (National Park) continue after climbing at Jerantut, the famous ecotourism destination in Malaysia and the oldest tropical rainforest in the world.

it’s about 1hr drive from Jerantut town. As usual during peak season most of the rooms are full and at no choice, we choose to stay in the “XXXXX Hostel & Restaurant” cost at RM15/pax and it seems okay for us as we did not expect that much with the price and it’s located near to the river. It was so excited as first time of visiting Taman Negara for most of us, we toke boat ride along the river and visited Orang Asli (native Jungle Man) then done some stupid and fun river jumping that I never do before, everyone of us even ladies were dare to give it a try…what a wet day!!!

The next day we decided to trek to the waterfall in 4hours thru the wild tropical rain forest, the trail was not that hard and steep as I thought. We found some exotic bugs, scorpion and birds along the trek even a SHIT of elephants, and ofcause the blood sucker “leech” everywhere…it was full of wild natural experienced and fun during this trip, I’m personally recommending at least a visit to this place for wild life adventurer and outdoor lovers. Thumbs up!!!

Overall the trip to Taman Negara was fun and nice except “BEDBUG”, most of us had sleepless night because of bedbug bites. After complain to the service staff and changed the bed, it still exists and when we complain again and guess what the staff responded to us?

“Ofcause!! Maybe it’s brought in by you”

What a ridiculous response and service, I think the cleanness of the bed is very important for any accommodation provider regardless the rate offer, but on the positive side, I have learned for my future travel and preparation for this type of accommodation.
